Difference between gate valve and ball valve
Here we will try to compare with ball valve and gate valves. Generally speaking,

At last, a gate valve and a ball valve vary at the mean of the actuation. Usually, a gate valve is typically with manual operation. But Gate valve can also be operated by Electric and other power .Except from the manual operation, a ball valve is also able to be driven by the electric and pneumatic actuators. The port of ball valve usually are more smooth than gate valve, through size of ball valves are bigger than wedge gate valves sometimes
